Betty Jane Frazier
Betty Frazier, of Medford, passed away August 2, 2008. Betty was born on February 23, 1930, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to James B. and Minnie (Killian) Lewis. She married George Purvine in 1948. They later divorced and Betty married David Frazier on August 23, 1970, in Albany, Ore.
During her life, Betty held various positions at Oregon State University in the 1960s, the Bureau of Land Management, and eventually retired in 1979 from the U.S. Forest Service. Betty enjoyed Corvallis Riding Club, sewing, crafts, traveling, and especially enjoying time with her family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jimmie Harris. She is survived by her husband, David (Bud) Frazier; daughters, Marva (Dale) Keefer, Sandee (Norm) Larson, and Linda (Glenn) Hayter; sons, Jim (Rene) Purvine, and Rick Purvine; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1020 East Main St., Medford, Ore., 97504. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Betty's memory.
