Important results for all you Puterbaugh researchers

Classification: Query
Surnames: Puterbaugh/Butterbaugh/Buterbaugh and Puderbaugh
Here is some proof that there were two seperate families and not related to eachother that came about 1750s to America. One George and John Peter went to Maryland and Pa. And a George settled in new Jersey.

A notice today for the New Jersey family.
A Y-DNA67 match has been found between a Puderbaugh and a Puterbaugh, a member of your Group, and another person(s) in the Family Tree DNA database. He and the other person(s) have matched in60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66 or 67 loci, which means that there is a 99% likelihood of them sharing a common ancestor.

These results can be compared with the other Puterbaugh people and they do not connect. So there were two unrelated families with that name that came to America at the same time. If interested you can see for yourself on the Bartlebaugh FTDNA web page.
