What I have is too large to put here. Go to my website BillPutman.com then to Genealogy to Putnam/Putman to Southern Putmans to Alabama to Wilson Putman of Jackson County. All There. Here is William, but lots more on the kinds on my site:

William Putman

William was born March 27, 1827 and married Elizabeth E. Myers in Coffee County Tennessee on August 21, 1857 and died in Jackson County Alabama on August 6, 1877.

Elizabeth was born April 10, 1837 in Limestone County Alabama and died about 1905. She was a daughter of Christopher Myers and Delilah L. Henderson.

William served in the 51st Alabama infantry and fought for the CSA at the Battle of Shilo among others. He ultimately died of the wounds he received in the fighting.

They were in Franklin County Tennessee in 1860 with one daughter. He was in Jackson County Alabama in 1870. I don't have them yet for 1880.

In 1900, the gang is still in Jackson County. Elizabeth, then 63 years old, is living with her son Christopher.

They had nine children:
