The Jack Lee born in 1931 was in Wisconsin a son of Elmer Eugene Putman. Here is that family in 1930:

ELMER PUTMAN Sparta, Monroe County
He is 19 WI WI WI and just married. He works for a lumber company. His wife Irene Sheffer in 19 WI and they have Carl 1/12 WI. Didn’t waste any time. Elmer Eugene is a son of Jacob and Margaret from here in town. He was born April 27, 1010 and will die in Rice County Minnesota July 25, 1992. Irene was born December 31, 1910. They were just married here June 26, 1929.

This is a Dutch Putman family out of New York State.

Your Jack Lee is a son of Joseph Kyle Putman and Leota May Devaney. Here they are in Kansas in 1930:

JOE K. (KYLE) PUTMAN Baxter Springs, Cherokee County
He is 29 TX TX TX and works in a zinc mine. Leota May Devaney his wife is 25 MO and they have Eugene E. 5 OK and Jackie L. a son is 2 KS. He is a son of John Morgan Putman and Era Pearl Tow out of Milam County Texas where he was born. He was with his folks in Imperial County California in 1920. John Morgan Putman was a son of John Thomas Putman and Martha Jane Stafford out of Blount County Alabama and Rutherford County North Carolina before that. Southern Putman line.

This is an English family out of Virginia and Buckinghamshire County England before that in 1646.

I can give you the line all the way back if you need, but don't have anything on Jack's kids.
