Hi, I am a descendant of the Pymans from the Reymerstone, Whymondham, Besthorpe, Blakeney and other areas of Norfolk.

At the moment I have researched the family back to Robert Pyman and wife Sarah nee Rose. They married sometime before 1814 and had 6 children that I know of.

Mary Pyman b.1814 Whymondham who married David Hook and eventually came out to Australia with their 6 children. They are my GGGrandparents.

Joseph Pyman b. 1818 Whymondham who married Susanna Unknown and then Mary Unknown. He had 5 children with Susanna
and another with Mary.

Ann Rose Pyman b. 1821 Besthorpe. She never married.

Lucy Pyman b. 1826 place unknown. She is one of my mysteries as I have no further information on her.

Ellis Rose Pyman b. 1826 Besthorpe who married Anne Unknown and had 4 children.

Robert Pyman b. 1829 Reymerstone and married Elizabeth Unknown and had 7 children.

I have more or less tracked these families through the census's usually losing the girls as they marry. If you have Pyman connections in Norfolk I would love to hear from you and see if we can find a link.

Some of the other first names of later generations are Ellis, Sarah, Lucy, Albert, Walter, James, Ida, Rosa and Grace to name a few.

I will make a seperate posting about the descendants of David Hook and Mary Pyman who came out to Australia.

Thanks everyone
