Daniel D. Qalivutu
Daniel Qalivutu died July 9, 2004, at Sutter Roseville Hospital. He was 51.
Born on Nov. 12, 1952, in the Fiji Islands to Sairusi and Asenaca Qalivutu, he grew up in Fiji, where he attended and graduated from high school and college. He was worked for the past year as a counselor for a group home. He has been a resident of Davis for the past six years, where he was a member of the Davis Christian Assembly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
He is survived by his wife, Vasemaca Qalivutu of Davis; children, Joy Qalivutu of Fiji, and Dima, Joe and Mabel Qalivutu, all of Davis; one grandson; and four sisters, Seruvvaia Qalivutu, Adi Marica Talemaitoga and Litiana Kata, all of Fiji, and Temalesi Saukuru of Seattle.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Davis Christian Assembly, 3030 Sycamore Lane in Davis. Visitation will be held Friday from noon to 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. Burial will follow Saturday's service at the Davis Cemetery.
