MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Jean Qualls, 77, of Muscatine died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at her home.
Services at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Ted Landers will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Florence Hetzler. Pallbearers are Bob Beatty, Scott Beatty, Greg Waack, Jeff Waack and Brad Qualls. Honorary pallbearer is Bud Hall. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Iowa City Hospice.
Mrs. Qualls was born on Feb. 18, 1924, in Davenport, the daughter of James and Clara Gerth Wilson. She married Louis Edwin Qualls on Nov. 25, 1939, in Bettendorf.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was a leader of T.O.P.S. Group No. 936; enjoyed bowling and was active in league play. She liked going to restaurants and having long conversations with friends and family over coffee. She was also a tireless shopper.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Qualls and Jim Qualls and his wife, Barb, all of Muscatine; daughters, Judy Beatty and Sandy Waack and her husband, Mike, all of Muscatine; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a grandchild, Lisa.
