My family tree has undocumented claims to Indian heritage. The oral story is that Elizabeth Baucom's mother was Sarah "Running Deer" and her father was Walter Moses Baucom. Please note that several spelling exist for Baucom. If members of the Qualls family are interested in proving their Indian ancestor, we should consider taking advantage of DNA testing. For testing of the maternal line cost two hundred dollars, this could prove or disprove our family oral history.
