The Quarles history

Paula (Quarles)Jackson  (View posts) Posted: 19 Feb 2000 5:33PM GMT
Hi everybody,

Here I am thinking that Quarles was a very rare name, and I find
this site, lo' and behold, a whole wealth of those who possess this fine
name.

I am looking for my family in Troy, Abbeville, McCormick, SC. I have
lost contact with them all since my father, Richard Eugene Quarles passed
away in 1993. I know I have sister by the name of Eva Mae Quarles, an aunt
Nancy Quarles, my grandmother name is Nana Quarles and her mother last name
was Perrin, don't know her first name, everyone always called her grama chicken
my grandfather's name was A B Quarles, and I do know there is some cherokee blood
in the family. Also I have a sister in Alabama that I never had a chance of knowing
she was born around the same time I was, 1966, but my father was married to my mother
so very little was said about her I don't even know her name. But I was born in Decatur so
she may have lived in that vicinity. I apologize for such a long message, but I would
really like to know my family history. I'd appreciate any information you can give.

thank you
