Howard,
re: Camelia/Permilla Hagamen QUICK, dau. of James Quick, Jr., (1773-1820), and Maria Hagamen, (1774-1833). Camelia/Permillia b. 17 Sep 1799, bap. Nehanic Reformed Ch., Hillsborough Twp., Somerset Co., NJ. Died 14 May 1880, buried Royal Oak Cem., Royal Oak, Oakland Co., MI..She married Peter COX, 24 Nov 1846, Royal Oak, Oakland Co., MI. Peter COX, b. 1784. In the 1850 Census for Nottawa Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI he is age 66, b. NJ, farmer. Permilia age 50, b. NJ.,...son Peter age 25, b. NY: son William, age 17, b. MI....These sons, must have been from a former marriage. He must have died in St. Joe and she returned to her family in Royal Oak and her brothers Dennis and Andrew. I have a sneaking suspicion that Peter was from Somerset Co.,NJ where the QUICKS originated. I looked up the Somerset Co., marriages and found only one Peter who married Agnes Harris in 1835, which seems too old to marry (wrong Peter). Neshanic baptisms - CAMELIA, b. 17 Sep 1799, bap. 19 Oct 1799.
Wonder if this is the correct family...John B. Ten Eyck
