COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Adalberta Quintero, 67, Columbus Junction, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Washington.
The Rev. Paul Appel will officiate. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Zacatepec, Morelos, Mexico. Burial will be at Panteon Municipal Cementerio de Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico.
She was born April 23, 1939, in Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico, the daughter of Sixto Quintero and Patrocinia Molina. She married Elpidio Diaz on May 7, 1959, in Jojutla, Morelos.
She was a homemaker while living in Columbus Junction and had worked as a hospital nurse in Mexico for many years.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jorge Diaz Quintero of Mexico; four daughters, Purificacion Diaz and husband Emilio Romero of Chicago, Rosenda Diaz and husband Adolfo of Mexico and Ubalda Diaz and husband Adrian Ramos of Columbus Junction; her grandchildren, Emily, Fidencio and Rafael Romero, Sergio and Alberto Garcia, Karen, Adrian, Antonio and Ari Liz Ramos; three brothers, Francisco Quintero, Mateo Quintero and Jesus Quintero; and a sister, Magdalena Quintero.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Romana Quintero and Dolores Quintero
