      <description>The Times Leader&lt;br&gt;Princeton, Ky.&lt;br&gt;Feb. 4, 2006&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;William Oxley Quirey, 87, of Williamsburg, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Patriots Colony at Williamsburg, Va. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Born Dec. 16, 1918, in Princeton, a son of William and Mabel Claire Hopewell Quirey, he was commissioned in 1940 a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served in World War II and two tours of duty in Vietnam after attending the University of Kentucky. He attended and served three years on the faculty of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and later attended the National War College. In 1970, he retired from the Army as a Brigadier General. He earned master’s degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Florida and taught high school social studies at St. Petersburg, Fla., after retiring from the military. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, William O. Quirey Jr. and Bethany J. Geldmaker of Richmond, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marguerite H. Quirey and Gregory E. Kennedy of Warrensburg, Mich.; four grandchildren, Alexander, Clayton and Taylor Kennedy and Gaelyn Quirey; and a sister, Sarah Kathryne Breed of Gainesville, Ga. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Arlington National Cemetery with interment to follow. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Williamsburg Regional Public Library, Director of Development, 7770 Croaker Rd., Williamsburg, Va. 23188-7004; or to the Patriots Colony Fund, 6000 Patriot’s Colony Dr., Williamsburg, Va. 23188. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Arrangements for Mr. Quirey are by Bucktrout of Williamsburg, Va., Funeral Home.&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <title>Quirey and Querey Family of Irel and PA.</title>

      <description>I have posted the info about this fammily at&lt;br&gt;the Querey messagae board. They used the spelling&lt;br&gt;of the last name in Ireland as Quirey and Queery.&lt;br&gt;In PA. They used the spelling mostly of Querey.&lt;br&gt;They are the same family. Go to the Querey&lt;br&gt;forum to read about them and see if you connect&lt;br&gt;to them.</description>
