Perhaps you can establish a link with one of these earlier Quys. They lived in Essex England. In the last century the family migrated along the coast to London and those that stayed in England are now found in Suffolk, Essex, London, Middlesex and Buckinghamshire. I have not included all my cousins, nephews and nieces as they are all at too late a date to be relevant.
In addition to the farm at Pagelsham Essex owned by Thomas and Ellen Quy there is also a Quy farm near Toppesfield Essex that was owned by the family. You may have also read of Quy village in Cambridgeshire which is in the parish of Stow-Cum-Quy and now usually referred to as Stow-Cum-Quy rather than Quy. It is about six miles east of Cambridge. There used to be a Quy station on the railway line from Cambridge to Mildenhall but that closed in the 1960s.
I hope that the above is of interest even though a link has not been shown.
Best wishes,
Phil Quy.
