YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home for Peter Radakovich, 91, who died Tuesday morning at Meridian Arms Living Center.
Mr. Radakovich was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Stara Krstlja, Yugoslavia.
He and his wife, Hanna, were married Oct. 11, 1947, and came to Youngstown, Ohio in 1949.
Peter was a plumbing contractor and co-founder of Continental Plumbing Co., where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 1985. Peter was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church since 1953. He was also a member of Local 396 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and a longtime member of the Youngstown Maennerchor Club. Peter enjoyed traveling with Hanna, family and bowling.
Peter will be sadly missed by many, including a sister, a niece and a nephew in Serbia; two nephews, Werner Frenzel of Youngstown, Ohio and Dieter Frenzel of Lake Milton, Ohio; a niece, Evelyn Crain of Garland, Texas; and godchildren, Peter Pavlichich, Suzy Montecalvo and Marianne Rinehart.
Besides his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hanna; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kurt and Elisabeth Schlosske.
Friends may call an hour before services at 9 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home.
