I'm researching Josephine Margaret Radnor's (bapt:04 Feb 1928)
grandmother, Agnes Mary Clayton Radnor. Agnes Mary was a sister to my husband's grandfather, Arthur Clayton. I have been in touch with Janice Hunt. Also Margaret Radnor Smith from Wellinton, ON CAN who is a gr gr granddaughter to Thomas Radnor & Agnes M Clayton. Her grandfather was William L Radnor born 1884 brother to Thomas A Radnor jr. 1881.

I've discovered Jane Radnor (born abt 1835) in my family tree. She was born in Claverley, Shropshire, England. I cannot find her marriage certificate to John Weaver for some reason. From the information I've found on census her name might be Mary Jane Radnor (census 1851). But on all other census she is Jane, wife of John Weaver (1830, Aston Botterell, Shropshire, England). They had 11 children
Thomas Weaver (1852)
Mary Weaver (1854)
Ellen Weaver (1857)
John Weaver (1860)
Samuel Weaver (1862)
Ann Weaver (1864)- my family tree comes from her, married to John Masters (1863)
Jane Weaver (1866)
George Weaver (1869)
Martha Weaver (1870)
Harriot Weaver (1873)
Susan Weaver (1876)

Does any of these names sound familiar?
Any long distant cousins out there?

Any information woul dbe highly appreciated!

Hello Ann,
I've recently discovered Jane Radner in my family tree. She was from Claverley, Salop. Bourn about 1835. I wonder if they are related. She married John Weaver and they lived in Kingswinford, Staffordshire.

Hi Tina, it looks like your Radnor family is not closely related to mine but one never knows until one has all the data. The farthest that I have gone back is to John Radnor who was married in London on New Years day 1803, but I have not found where he came from. Geoff, Ottawa Canada

My mother`s maiden name was Josephine Radnor.
Her grandfather Thomas Arthur Radnor, had a brother called Richard John Radnor, who emigrated in the early 1870`s
Another brother called William Radnor also emigrated
They were born in Whitton Radnorshire.
Their parents were Thomas Radnor and Mary Ann Radnor.
On the 1871 census they are living at a place called Eye in Herefordshire. Tina Fabia

Ellen Radnor stated that she was born in Claverley, Salop on the eve of the 1851 census. She was married to John Nichols and was to be found living in Alverley. Their children included Ann, Jane, William and Ellen. Am interested in learning who Ellen's parents were and whether she had an older brother George? Any help appreciated.

Samuel Radnor married Ann Rowley in Worfield, Shropshire 1850. If anyone can help me to find them I would be very grateful. Ann Radnor was witness to her sister (Charlotte's)marriage in Kidderminster in 1854.

There are many Radnors in that part of the world, my family are from London and maybe from Herefordshire or Staffordshire prior to that, but am not sure yet.

Hi Chris, Thanks for message, Could you supply some dates to go with your grandparents? When did Hetty live in Abergavenney? Who were George, Tommy, Robina, Kath, Nancy and the other daughter, did they all live in London. More information would be needed to see where your family fits in. And where do you live now and what is your age, unless thats a secret!! I live in Canada and am 68, my great great grandfather was George Radnor, born in London in 1804 and died in Windsor in 1886. Most of the Radnors came from Wales, Shropshire and Herefordshire, lets hear from you ok, Regards

I myself am also a Radnor,Although I do not know too much about ancestory but any info would be great,My GrandMothers Name was Hetty Radnor lived in Abergavenny
Area,I don't know my GrandFathers name he was killed on a motorbike thats all I know.There was George,Tommy,Robina,Kath,Nancy,and another Daughter who was living in London.any Info would be Great

I have just found the marriage of an ancestor Clement Smith who married Mary Radnor at St Peters church in Wolverhampton in 1839. Her fathers name was George. I don't have any further information as yet.

Hello Beverley, The Radnors seem to have all come from the Border areas of Wales, they are common in Herefordshire and Shropshire. They spread around the world from these counties. If you would like to share information on the family please email me.

Hi, If you would like to share information on the Radnors please contact me. My Radnors seem to be from London England originally, I have traced them back to the early 1800's. There are still some in the Windsor area, I have only been doing 'family hisory' for a few months, but others have traced my ancestors back to the 1600's.

Its all very interesting, looking forward to hearing from you.
