Michael Owen Rafter of Bofield, Ballina married Catherine Moran born in Charlestown, Co. Mayo. Their children included Bridget Theresa b 10/22/1895 d. in Chicago 11/26/1990,. John b. 1886, Thomas, James, one more son and one more daughter. Michael was a farmer and Catherine was a scool teacher in Bofield beginning in about 1880.
