John Raglin

I am looking for information/records that will help complete research on John Thomas Raglin b. Virginia 1800. He is the father of John Raglin Jr. and Nicey Ann Raglin (and ten others!)--moved to California in 1854. Good research on the family in Lingenfelder Archives at Chico State University, but can find nothing beyond his residence and marriage to Flora Storm in Gallatin, MO., 1824. Found no Virginia records or links to other Raglins in Virginia or Kentucky or Tennessee. Does anyone know how he might have gotten to Missouri? Or anything about family links in Virginia? Brothers or sisters?

Also, for those who may be connected to this line and have information, my connection to John Raglin: I am grand-daughter of Louis Raglin (ggrandon of John T Raglin Sr., great-great-granddaughter of Nicey Ann Raglin through my grandmother Cynthia Gridley Raglin (daughter of Eva Gridley). Help would be very much appreciated.

Lorell (Raglan) Long

I'm seeking information on Raglin family from Macon Co, TN and moved to Kaufman/Dallas Co, TX about 1880. The inforamtion I have is that Jeneral Forest Raglin moved to Tx and married three times (Effie, Minnie Powell, and Emma Hopkins) Jenerafl Forest Raglin was born 1862 in Lafayette, Macon Co, TN and died 1931. He had 12 children from his different marriages. Effie and J.F had annie, Lulu, Ossie, Horace Newton, Lucy B, Sadie L, and Frances Lurie. J F Raglin and Minnie had one daughter, Maggie. Emma and J F had Nellie, Janice, Henry Everett, and Frances.

Jeneral Forest Raglin' s parents were Jeneral McArthur Raglin and Fannie Frances who were both form TN. I do not have any recorde to show this, only papers passed down. Their other children included Samuel, John B, W M, and Lizzie M Raglin. Lizzie, I hear, had a daughter named Jessie May Shrum.

If any of the information sounds familiar or you have any questions, I would glad to hear from you.
Thanks
Stephanie
