Just wondering if everyone is positive that Barry Rahman was the father and that the father may have been Richard Jungfer. He has also been searching for the baby born to Susan as he believes it may be his child.

My maiden name is Rahmann. The double nn distinguishes between German descent and middle eastern decent. I have just started this search for greatgrandparents and have found the ship they came here on with my grandfather. Any suggestions on finding more info in Germany would be greatly appreciated. They lived in schiffdorferdamm, Hannover Germany.

Do you know anything about an Abdul Rahman who changed his name to John Edison upon arrival in the states? He would be my great-grandfather. His brother's name started with a B, but I can't pronounce or spell it. He lived in NY and in NJ before he died.

Email me

Victor Arthur Rahmann, Maryborough QLD, AUSTRALIA

Hi,

I'm looking for any information on the ancestors of Victor Arthur Orlando Rahmann, generally known as Arthur Rahmann, 1887-1987. Arthur was born in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia.

A little more information on Arthur is available on my site at :

http://www.birdsinthetree.com/rahmann/arthur_rahmann.php

Cheers,

Scott
www.birdsinthetree.com

possible link

Ref your request for info on Mary Kathrine b.1842

Just a hunch,

I happen to have a Heinrich (Henry) Rahmann b.1815 in Hanover Germany married to Tringe Margaretha (Kathrine Margret) Kleinhauer b. ? in Amt Witmund Germany. I only have records of two children, both males James and George but it is possible that if they had a girl they may have named her after the mother (Kathrine). The date of birth you cite (1842)is reasonable for this couple. Henry and Trinje emigrated to the US in 1847 and settled in Rockport, Missouri. Do you have any additional information which may tie these people together?

Rick - I was mistaken with the name. It should have read Katherine not Mary Katherine. She married Heinrich (Henry) Missman who was born in Hanover, Germany. My records show that Katherine Rahman was born in Wittmund (Ostresland), Germany. I think is more than a hunch. Do you have any records on other Rahman relatives? We are probably related. Henry Rahman would have been my Great-Great-Great Grandfather. What state are you in?
