Indiana-California Raible/Raibley connection

Hi everyone!
I've been digging for my dad's Raibley relations - his father, John "Jack" William Raibley died when my dad was only 9 months old.

We know that Jack came to California from Spencer County Indiana as a child after 1895, and I've found a couple of generations back -- what I'm really searching for now is the immigration or naturalization record of Jack's grandfather John Michael Raibley (often spelled RAIBLE in official records). Like many other Raibles, he came from Wurttemburg, Germany. My information - possibly wrong - is that he came to America about 1846 (age 7), settled near Batavia Ohio then moved to Indiana. I have several marriage records - he married 3 times - listing him as living in Spencer Co, IN. He fathered 8 children, most of whom stayed in the midwest. His oldest son Michael came out west and started this branch of cousins - if anyone's looking for Raibleys in California I can probably help.

Can any of you help me find when and where John Michael Raible came to America?

Thanks!
- Terri Raibley Earl
