My great-grandfather, Gottlob Raichle, lived in Altoona on Second Avenue. My grandfather, George, lived in Altoona also as did his sisters Freida, Louise and Bertha. Gottlob had a brother, Gottlieb. I believe a daughter of Gottlieb lived in the Juniata section of Altoona and passed away a number of years ago. Remember seeing the obituary and the first mention that I know of Gottlieb in this area.
I have Gottlob's original Naturalization Certificate.
If you check out Oak Ridge Cemetery Altoona PA website, you can search for the name Raichle and find information re birth/death, etc. However, the photo of Gottlob and Barbara's grave marker incorrectly refers to Gottlieb.
Sheldon Raichle, a first cousin of my dad, Eddie, lived in Altoona. Actually, my dad purchased my older sister's "first car" from Sheldon. The shop was on 764 near what is now Blue Knob Auto somewhere.
Gottlob and his wife, Barbara, are buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Altoona PA.
