Seeking information on my grandfather Arthur Ernest Rainbow born 16th March 1875. Any information at all on his life before 1904 would be greatly appreciated. I know he worked at Brookwood Asylum in Surrey as a nursing attendant from 1904 but would like to know where he was born. His father was Henry Joseph Rainbow but do not know name of mother or how many brothers and sisters etc. He met my grandmother Mabel Bytheway at Darenth Asylum where they both worked prior to 1904 and they subsequently moved to Surrey where they worked at Brookwood Asylum. They married after May 1906 but I do not know where or date. They had three children, Ernest born 1911, Dorothy (my mother) born 1912, Elizabeth born 1917. After Mabel's death in January 1941 Arthur remarried in 1951 He married May Hicks, nee Goring-Thompkins. Arthur and Mabel are buried in St. Johns churchyard, Woking, Surrey.
