I have traced my great great grandfather through the census but cannot find his parents names. He is always listed as a gardener living in Hackney.I think he married a Susannah but do not know her maiden name.Children Joseph 1844, William 1846 (my great grandfather), john 1848, Thomas 1848 (twins?), James 1850, Jane 1854, Emma 1856, Susan 1858, all born in Hackney (dates approximate as from census). Has anyone any information?
