Thomas James Rainey III
Thomas James Rainey III, age 68
died on June 22, 2009 at Passavant Retirement Home in Zelienople. He was born in Erie on June 22, 1941, a son of the late Thomas J. Rainey, Jr. and Ellen Stockman Rainey. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Merrin Alysia Rainey, who died in 2003.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Graham, his son-in-law Michael Graham of New Brighton, Pa., and his former wife, Linda of Fairview, Pa.
He is also survived by his sisters, Ann Marie Davis of Sumner,Wa., Christine Huston and her husband, Randy of Albion;
and his brothers Robert and his wife Marie of Arlington, Texas, John and his wife Debra of Fairview,
and Paul of Erie .pa,
along with several nephews and nieces.
He was a 1959 graduate of East High School and a
Tom was a Military Police Officer in the Air Force;
he was an avid golfer and he was a well known salesman in Erie. He worked for J.L. Cox Inc., Isaac Baker and Sons, and New Motors. Many knew him as “TJ”. A memorial service will be planned at the convenience of the family.
