In the 1860 Warren County GA census are James and Lucy Railey [sic?] with children named John and Charles and James. He was age 70 born in SC, so born about 1790. I have to wonder if he was related to the Charles and James and John Raleys who were in Kershaw County SC. Charles 1864-1839 brought his family to AL in 1818 and settled in Morgan County. He had served in the SC militia in the Rev War under a cousin Lt Charles Raley. His oldest son James was born Oct 25, 1790 (and son John was born in 1796.) I have to wonder if this James in Warren County was him, however, I really think that he was in the 1830 Morgan County AL census along with the entire extended family. He was the first born of six. Family birth record does exist in Charles Raley's Rev War pension file. James's parents Charles and Sarah and all James's siblings and spouses were in Morgan County in 1830 so I think it is more likely he died there before 1840. Does anyone know much about where this James Raley in Warren County GA but originally from SC was from? I suspect there were a number of the family in Kershaw County and descendants spread out. There were a lot of them named James, John, Charles, and William.
