Hi, My name is Bevan Rankins, I live in Perth, the capital city of the state of (Western Australia), I have left previous messages, asking for help on tracing my family in America.
I am trying to trace my family and my great grand-father's relatives, who I believe hail from the USA.
What I know so far is my Great Grandfather is named John Rankins, who I believe resided on the East Coast of the United States, sometime early 1900's and he was of African American descent, who married my Great-Grandmother who I believe, is named Brigitte or Brigit Miles, from Tipperary in Ireland, for various reasons, they left America and migrated to Australia, in the 1920's they had two children, my Grandfather John Arnold Rankins, and Grand - Aunty Elizabeth Rankins.

I have no idea, of where to look in the US to trace my family, so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
