Hi..I am a direct descendant of the DeRapalje family from 1604 and before. Try checking out Catalyne Tricaud and her husband Joris deRapelje. They were married in Holland in the 1620's before coming to New Amsterdam. (NY) If you do an internet search, you should see info on them since their daughter was the first European white settler born on Long Island. (Brooklyn)
