I am looking for descendants of Richard Ratcliffe from Blackburn born about 1778. His wife was named Ellen. He had 4 known children: Alice b.1805, William b.1808, Henry b.1810 Robert b.1813.
William married a Susannah and had 5 children: Ellen b.1829, Richard b.1832, Titus b.1835 Alice b. 1838 N.K.b.1841. Henry married Ann and had 3 children: Richard b.1833 William b.1835, Nancy b.1837. Robert married Ellen Cronkshaw and had 7 children: Elizabeth b.1836, Moses b.1837, Ellen b.1840, Alice b.1845, Richard b.1848, William Henry b.1850, and Catherine b.1854. Their church was St. Mary the Virgin in Blackburn.
The only descendant of Robert's family I know had children was William Henry who married Catherine Shorrock in 1871 and had my grandmother Elizabeth Ellen. At that point Catherine disappears without a death certificate and William Henry remarries a woman named Selina. If anyone has any info about this Ratcliffe family, I'd love to hear it.
