We are searching for infomation on a John Ratcliffe married to a Eleanor Jackson. Four daughters where christened at Allonby Chapelry between 1812 to 1819 place of residence states Beckfoot. We find reference to John in 1829 as a Blacksmith residing at Beckfoot. We know that his second wife was Mary. The eldest daughter Jane is buried in Beckfoot Quaker Graveyard. The next daughter Maryann we find in 1841 at Flookburgh (Cartmel) living with a retired schoolteacher. Maryann married a John Davidson they came to Canada.
