Heinrich is the father of my Maria Rau who married Wilhelm Henrich of Pittsburgh, PA. Heinrich and wife Dorothea came to US on the ship America in November of 1864. Children were Margaretha, age 24, Friedrich, age 22, Maria, age 20, Peter, age 18 and Heinrich, age 7. They were from Colbach, Hesse, Germany. Maria Rau Henrich stayed in Pittsburgh, as did her brother Friedrich. Does anyone know what happened to the other children? Has anyone researched the family in Colbach? I cannot find the family in 1870, although Heinrich and son Friedrich were in the 16th Ward of Pittsburgh in 1880. Maria and husband were in Indiana Township in 1880. I swear that all my families ran from the census takers!
