AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Joshua James Raub, 27, who died early Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was born Sept. 11, 1983, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of Mark S. Raub and Rebecca J. Miller, and resided in this area all of his life.
He worked as a tow motor operator for the Tamarkin Company in Austintown, where he had been for three years.
He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 377. He was a gifted artist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca of Youngstown, Ohio; his father, Mark of Warren, Ohio; his brother, Alan Raub of Austintown, Ohio, grandfather, Thomas F. (Terry) Raub of New Springfield; his fiancee, Ruthie Rovder of Austintown; his niece, Oriana; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss his smile, his energy, and his love of life.
Josh was a kind and generous man whose generosity continued in death by giving the gift of life through his decision to be an organ and tissue donor, and he will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Darla Jean and his maternal grandmother, Norma Jean Fisher.
Calling hours will be held for one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
