Ravelette/Lovellette/Tougas dit Laviolette

I've been researching the Tougas dit Laviolette family and found that some Tougas (various spellings) remain in IN and also that Laviolette crystalized into "Lovellette" (various spellings) in Wabash County, IL. However, in Knox Co., IN where the French Canadian settlers were, I've found a few Ravelette (various spellings) names entered into the St. Francis Xavier Church records. Some are entered into those records AND also Knox Co. Court records as BOTH Ravelettes and Laviolettes. So, I assumed they were the same family. However, there is at least one marriage record of a Tougas dit Laviolette marrying a Ravelette. CONFUSING! Does anyone know for a certainty if the Ravelettes and the Tougas dit Laviolettes (which some later became Lovellettes) were one and the same family? Would appreciate any info. Thanks! I will be checking this site often or I can be reached at iginger@henderson.net
