I cannot locate parents in 1861 and

in 1861 Elizabeth and Walter are with the Tull family (South Stoneham / Shirley)
in 1871 ELizabeth and Walter are with the Ruffell family (All Saints, Southampton)
in 1881 Walter is still with the Rufell family.

Hi, I have a James Rawlinson born in Tilston 1833. Have drawn a blank as to who his parent were, however they were Market Gardeners so may tie in with your smallholding Rawlinsons. Will keep you posted if I learn anything else.

correction : Mitilda Mcknight Rawlinson married Allen Jones Fuller after her husband John W. Rawlinson died at a Camp in Arkansas during the Civil War. You can find her and her two boys in the 1870 census Nacogdoches County Dist.2 with Allen J. Fuller , Henry and John's last name is spelled Rollison.
John F. Rawlinson and his wife Martha Blackburn ,1900 census,Looneyville precint7 there you will find Milburn and his siblings.John F's second wife's name was Jessie Cornelious Cates. Both of his wives are buried beside him in the Mcknight Cemetry.

Yes, my "Pa" Rawlinson is the same as John F. Rawlinson who was married to Martha "Marthy" Blackburn. I am their great-great granddaughter, descended through their daughter Annie who married Howard Williamson.

I don't know if I ever responded to your original post but a new inquiry popped up here and since I have finally gotten around to organizing my genealogy info into Family Treemaker v.16 I though I would touch base with you again.

I found the box! Imagine my surprise when it was exactly where I thought it would be.

I created a Word document that I was able to assemble from the 2006 Commemorative Edition of the McKnight Cemetery Record, which is maintained by the cemetery association. All of those listed are buried in McKnight Cemetery except for my two uncles who are still alive. Again, I have it in hard copy and it is over 170 pages and contains over 1,700 names. It would take a considerable amount of time to go through the book and look for all of the daughters of the various Rawlinson men.

We are most probably cousins.......

John F. "Pa" Rawlinson was the father of Annie Rawlinson who married Howard Williamson (my great-grandparents). Annie's mother was Martha "Marthy" Blackburn. Annie and Howard's daughter was Ida Raby (Williamson) who married Herman Eugene Looney and their daughter, Virginia Ruth Looney was my mother. All of them are buried at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas.

John F. Rawlinson's parents were Nancy Jane (Chancellor) and George Rawlinson.

John F. Rawlinson remarried and I have all of that information in hard copy but am in the middle of home renovation and I can't remember where I put that particular box...........I will look for the box tonight and go through the cemetery book and put together for you what I can find.

Am looking for more information on James Rawlinson, who was born around 1790 in Lancashire, possibly Mitton near Clitheroe. Married Elizabeth but can't find marriage record anywhere. Children Mary (1816), Jane (1820), Elizabeth (1822), John (1827), Sarah (1829) - all baptised at St Peters in Liverpool. Worked as a Carter and was living in Knight Street in 1820s, then Toxteth. Possibly remarried when widowed to Ann Hale in 1853.

Am looking for information on my grandfather who was born in Liverpool in 1887 and moved to Vancouver, Canada around 1920 after marrying my grandmother Emily Alcock in 1919. They had two sons Stanley (my father) and Robert. My grandmother moved back to Liverpool around 1930 but my grandfather stayed in Canada. He was a Merchant Seaman (Ships storekeeper on the Empress of Russia)

I have Emily Causer Cooper with the same parents but born c1827. She had a son with George Jeffrey Rawlinson called George Edward. Apparently she left George Jeffrey and he then married Emily Idels (Idols)

George Edward married someone called Alice but he died aged 40.

Hi Marylou, I wanted to reply to your post in reference to the Indian connection of the Rawlinson Family. They did have Indian connections. They were descendants of the Eastern Siouan-Saponi. In the 1810 census of South Carolina there were 10 Rawlinson families listed as "Other Free Persons". They were listed as so because they were mixed blood Indians. Please feel free to contact me. be careful there are 2 John Rawlinsons , yes one is the son of Nancy Chancellor and George Rawlinson. The other is the son of Matilda Mcknight and John W. Rawlinson(who died in a camp in Arkansa during the Cival War)(Which is the son of Amos Rawlinson) Mitilda then married Alvin (or Allen) Jones. You can find this John Rawlinson in I believe the 1870 Census . Name was spelled Rollinson has a brother Henry.

I have done a reasonable ammount of Research on the Rawlinson line from Grantham.

Your Sarah was christened 13 October 1773. Her parents were Thomas Rawlinson and Mary Watson who were married 23 Sept 1764.

Sarah had 3 sisters Mary, Albena and Lucy. That I know of.

I have quite a lot more on the line if you are interested let me know.

I have a Sarah Rawlinson in my tree b.1774 in Grantham. She married Bajmin Millingchamp who was the owner of a large estate in West Wales (Treforgan) in 1795. He served in India with the East India Company. I imagine that the family would have been landowners in the Grantham area is the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries?

Hi! I've just begun tracing my paternal family tree and have discovered that my great great grandfather was born in Tilston, Cheshire around the 1851/2s and his name was John Rawlinson.

That is far as I have got without utilizing Parish records. Would be interested if anyone knows anymore on this person. I have located a Thomas Rawlinson living on a smallholding near to Tilston around the 1840s using Cheshire County Council archives.

Possiblility we're related. My Grandfather William Rawlinson and Helena E Rawlinson migrated from Cheshire arouond 1904. They were married in Frodsham on the southside of Liverpool.

I'm looking for Melburn Rawlinson Born: Aug 10,1883 Died: May 15,1947.Married Emma Irane (Beard) Rawlinson,she was Born: Jan 24,1885 Died:July 24,1926.They had seven siblings Vertis Lee,Charles Dennis,Ruby Opal,Elton Joe,Era Fay,Mildred Thelma,Donna Van Rawlinson.
