I have found some information on the Rays from Scotland to Virginia. If any of this will help, I'm glad.
Sarah Kirby married Christmas Ray on 9/5/1682. Christmas was b. 1660. His parents were Thomas Ray b. about 1615 d. 1/31/1686, York Co. Va. and Mary Christmas.
Sarah and Christmas' children were: Thomas Ray, Christmas Ray, Mary Ray, Anne Ray and John Henry Ray. Christmas Rays' children werea; Thomas Coleman Ray, Christmas Ray II. b. 2/5/1686 Charles Parish Prince Edward Bo., York, VA.
Mary Christmas and Thomas Ray were married in 1637 in Scotland

Thomas Ray immigrated to Virginia in or prior to 1642; granted 300 acres; transported four other persons, including Darby Ray. There are 3 John Rays that immigrated to Virginia. One prior to 1642; indentured to William Eyres. Another John Ray immigrated to Virginia in or prior to 1650, indentured to Stephen Hamelin. The other john Ray immigrated to Virginia in or prior to 1656; indentured to Henry Chichley.
Darby Ray; immigrated to Virginia in or prior to 1642; indentured to Thomas Ray.This may help some of you.
