OK. No newspaper articles on either Albert or Emma at Google news archives or ancestry.com - check local libraries, historical society, and find out what you can from teh cemetery records. Get those death certificates, and the inquest (should have been one).

Census tells us much. I don't know how much you knew - I notice you jumped into a discussion on West Virginia Raymonds.

Family seem to have moved from West Virginia to Wharton, Pennsylvania, shortly before teh 1900 census, and still lived there in January of 1920, so chances are the shooting and suicide happened there as well.

Albert R Raymond March 1868 W Va. Father b PA, mother b W VA. That informatino is consistent in 1900, 1910, 1930. He was a sawyer in a saw mill in 1900 and they took in four boarders who worked at teh saw mill. In 1920 he drove a taxi. I forgot to see what he did in 1910. In 1900 they rented their home.

His father lived with them in 1910. Daniel C. Raymond, and apparently not buried at the Chalk Hill cemetery unless the dates are transcribed wrong. He was born in Pennsylvania, he was 85 (or thereabouts), and his parents were both born in Pennsylvania.

Albert and Emma had a big old family. She seems to have had atleast 13 children, 12 of whom lived to be counted. Not every census asked how many total children and how many living. Several of teh sons are buried at Chalk Hill. A number of the next generation are buried there as well.

Emma was born in West Virginia to parents who were born in West Virginia, and her birth year varies. (Already the date on her headstone is a year off from her stated age.) She was born in July 1870 on her headstone, and July 1871 in the 1900 census, and apparently when she died her family thought she had been born in July of 1869 to have been 99 at death. Her given ages, and those of her husband, are not even consistent with that. Her children inherited her mathematical ability, or else she was the informant to the census takers.

Children:

Norval son b Sep 1891.
Bessie Mae dau b Nov 1892
Arthur F. b May 1893
Daniel C. b Nov 1895 - there may possibly have been a second of him born around 1916. (to judge from gravestones
Ralph B. b Aug 1897
William F. b Jan 1899
These children were all born in West Virginia.

William may be the child who died by 1910; he is not listed in the family in that year. Unless William F morphed into Frank.

Grace M. b abt 1901 Pennsylvania
Frank b abt 1900 Pennsylvania
Iny or Ivy, F, b abt 1904
George H. b abt 1906
Dorothy E. b abt 1905
Albert R. b abt 1911
Jean C. b abt 1916.

Cemetery list shows alot of men in that family dying in early adulthood; I'd get their death certificates and other available information on their deaths, and I'd also ask people what happened. Suicides and overdoses are often not what is listed on the death certificate.
