Obituary: Anna "Ruth" Razor passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Kennewick, Washington at age 89.
"Ruth was born December 1, 1917 to George and Anna Edith (Kirkman) Morby in Bushnell, Kimball Co., Nebraska. After graduating from high school, Ruth went to work in Wyoming where she met her husband, Otis Razor. They were married on March 22, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan.
"The couple relocated to Kennewick, Washington where they made their home and became one of the area's pioneer homebuilders Until their retirement, Ruth worked as a carpenter next to her husband during the construction of over 50 homes.
"Once retired, they traveled and spent their winters in Arizona until Otis became ill and passed away in 1980. Following Otis' passing, Ruth painted homes; then worked at the Treasure Tree consignment store approximately 10 years. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting, crafts, preserving foods and reading. She loved people, music, dancing, traveling and card games.
"Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and George Morby; sister, Carol Jane Diviney of Fredeal Way, WA; brothers, George William Morby of Dallas, TX and James Eugene Morby of Middleton, CA; special friend, Joe Yencopal of Kennewick, WA. She is survived by sisters, Eleanor Edith Roberson of Fort Worth, TX, Cladys Marie Robertson of Spanaway, WA; sister-in-law Norma Morby of Forrestburg, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins."
