Virginia Arline Ream, age 73, beloved wife and mother, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009, in San Diego, California. She was born September 22, 1935, to Lee and Miriam Reed, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. A longtime resident of El Cajon, California (43 years), Virginia was a retired social worker with San Diego County and a volunteer at the Sevick Center with pre-schoolers with special needs. She also enjoyed gardening, home projects, social gatherings, conversation, and supporting her family. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Duane Ream Sr.; daughter, Kathy Ochoa (Roger) of Lemon Grove, California; daughter, Kim Reynolds (Dan) of El Cajon, California; daughter, Karla Wellsfry (Kevin) of Loomis, California; son, Duane Ream Jr. of Melbourne, Florida; brother, Lee Reed of Burlington, New Jersey; sister, Frances Allard of Lockport, New York; brother William Reed of Phoenix, Arizona, and eight grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, January 31st, at 11:00 a.m., at Lake Murray Community Church, located at 5777 Lake Murray Blvd., La Mesa, California 91942.
