shortly after a son James jr. ws born, it then appears he lsft sarah and son james jr.she some years later married samual Hecock a man from new york.they later moved to Cass co Mifh.
I wokder if perhaps thisi same James Corbit later married Ann augustus inRoss Co. He shortly died and is buried n the Pleasnt valley cemetary.
I wish to find a working gereologest to help trace this James corbit down.I am Jack corbit at 22255 fox st /cassopolis Mi. 4931. please help. Jack

Looking for descandants of Laben Records, his son Samuel who was born in Ross Co, Ohio and lived in Ohio County, Indiana and moved to Kansas in 1870 - he was a farmer and a Methodist minister who established several churches in Southeast Kansas. I am Samuel Records 3rd ggrandaughter and would like to find other members of this interesting family. I have a great deal of info I would share.

Josiah married Jane George in 1828 in Boone Co, Kentucky. They moved up to Greene Co, Indiana between 1834 and 1839. They had the following children:

Nancy 1839-1917
John 1841-1860
Thomas 1847-
Irene c. 1850

Would like to get more information on this family and where they went as some of the children left Indiana.

Martha Records Roll, age 83, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006, at her home. She was born August 27, 1922, in Edinburgh, Indiana, the daughter of Charles E. Records and Katherine Magaw Records and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leland R. Roll of Batesville; one son, Steve Roll and his wife, Delina, of Anderson, South Carolina; two daughters, Susie Daniel and her husband, James, of Maumelle, AR, and Anne Harelson and her husband, Dennis, of Russellville, AR; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Records of Indiana; and three sisters, Marion Thompson of CA, and Hannah Ault and Rachol Dillingham, both of Bloomington, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

i was wondering if there was a free genealogy site where i can find something of even a remnant of my family history. I want to know what country my family is from and none of my living family has a clue & on top of that my surname is "Records" and on google and every other search it thinks im wanting to look at records of things and not my surname. wife was Catherine Caroline Enders born Dec.2,1829 ands died Nov 2,1911. There is also another Josiah his grandfather.
This Josiah was born May 12,1741 and died June 1,1809 he was married to Susanna Tully born 1743 and died May 1/824

Frank Records Dies In Minneapolis Home

The sad news of the death of Frank Records at his home in Minneapolis was received by his mother, Mrs. Julia Records, Thursday. Frank was well known in this vicinity, having spent his boyhood days here. He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad at the time of his death. Mrs. Records attended the funeral held Monday at Minneapolis.

Concerning the deceased the Minneapolis Journal has the following to say:
Mr. Records was born at Eagle Lake Minn., July 3, 1876. He received his early education at Sherburn and later was one of Martin county’s school teachers. In 1897 he married Elizabeth Ulrich of Sherburn. Shortly after his marriage, Mr. Records took employment with the Chicago North Western on the Waseca-Tracy division. In 1905 he went to Minot and entered the service of the Great Northern. Mr. Records was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Minot.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Thomas I. Records of Minneapolis, a daughter, Frances I. Records, two sisters, two brothers and his mother.

My grandfather was Augustus Caesar Records, he was the son of Millard Fillmore Records, he was the son of Watson Tulley Records, he was the son of John Records who died in Pendleton Co Ky in 1850's, he was the son of Josiah and Suzanne Tolley. My mother...Augustus' daughter, knows a lot about the records from Pendleton Co, but I never knew about the rest of you. If you would like to share any info, please email me. Alexander and Sarah Records are the parents of James Records, Esq. posted on a previous message. Alexander shows up on the 1810 Boone Cty. Ky. census, close to Charles Records. I can find no Alexander Records that fits(Rats!).I sure could use some help. Thanks, Dan Records
