My ancestor is George Washington REDD born in Barnwell District SC on June 17, 1817. He apparently served in Civil War in Matthew's Heavy Artillery group. Married Harriet (surname unknown), had 8 known children (James L "Jim", Sovereign, Ann/Alnetta, Delaney, Josephine, Silas, Catherine, Walter M, Martha E and Emma).
G.W. Redd died 1898 and is buried at First Baptist Church cemetery in Montmorenci, Aiken Co., SC. Need help with his parents, siblings, etc. Willing to share my info with other REDD researchers.
