Ironically, I have a Brizendine and Epperson connection but seems to be different names than your ancestors.

Joel D. Brizendine married Mary Jane Epperson on September
23, 1857 in Moniteau Co. MO. The descendants of Joel say that the
marriage license is in error and that her name was Nancy Jane Epperson.

Also, Nancy M. (Bristine) Epperson married Gabriel Redford on April 08, 1849 in Cooper Co., MO.

I also found some Brizendine's living in Linn Twp., Moniteau Co., MO during the 1880 census which follows:

Hiram Brizendine, M, age 30, TN
Susan " ", F, age 25, TN
John C. " ", M, age 4/12, MO

There was a Willie Brizendine, M, age 8, born in Mo living in the household of Hillard H. Hudson and Elizabeth A. (Boggs) Hudson.

R. P. Brizendince, F, age 18, b: MO
