I am interested in sharing information with anyone researching the Joab/Elizabeth Seibert Ree line. Joab (or Joseph) and Elizabeth came from Norway (Stavanger I believe) in 1888 with other members of the Seibert family. They had 7 children, George, John, Lizzie, Martha, Arthur Stephen, Minnie Isabelle, and W. Edward Joab. The family lived in Kanaranzi Twp, Rock Cty, MN until 1900, after the deaths of Joab and Lizzie in an epidemic in 1897, when Elizabeth moved with her remaining children to Aitkin Co., MN to live with her brother Peter Christ Seibert. Grandma said that they went for a short time to New Mexico to escape the epidemic, possibly with another of Elizabeth's brothers, Edward Seibert.
Minnie, Martha, and John maintained connections in Aitkin Cty for the rest of their lives, and Ed died young. I would especially love to hear from anyone related to George or Arthur.
