DON REEDER

ONTARIO, July 29,--Shot through the chest by the accidental discharge of a revolver, Don Reeder, age 24, well-known Ontarian and son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Reeder, A. Street and Monte Vista Avenue, died last night at a Hollywood hospital, according to word received here today.

At the time of the accident, young Reeder was managing a restaurant at 1826 South Main Street, Los Angeles. Saturday night, Patrolman W. T. Foreaker, a friend of Reeder, entered the restaurant and preparatory to sitting down at a counter, took out his gun and laid it down. In the act, the revolver was discharged, the bullet striking the Ontario man in the right side of the chest. He was rushed to the hospital, where it was at first believed his injury was not critical, but death followed last night.

Young Reeder was a graduate of Chaffey High School and was for some time connected with the Ontario branch office of the Automobile Club of Southern California. He is survived by his widow, a small son, his parents and seven brothers.
