Trying to track this one down. One of my great great grandmothers was Catherine Resse/Reas/Reus, I have seen the last names spelled all three wats on documents. She was born (per her headstone) March 24, 1845 in Snyder County PA.
The first 'proof' on her is the federal 1870 census showing her married to Jacob Flury and living in Penn, Cass, Michigan. They were in Michigan atleast as early as 1865 by the ages and birth places of their children. She is listed as being 25 years old. Also listed withj them is apparently jer brother Jonathan Reese aged 35. From other documents I beleive her fathers name might have neen Jonathan also. I have no further information on her family. I would like to hear if ths sounds like a matvh.
