I have hit a wall and I am searching for the parents of George Frederick Reeser. He was born 28 Aug 1815 in Northumberland, PA. He died 30 Oct 1896 in Tidioute, PA.

He was a traveling Methodist minister after he left the Lutheran faith of his family.

The story goes that he was cut off completely from his family when he did this, and was erased from the tree. As hopeful as they may have been when they disowned George, somewhere there has got to be a record of who his parents are, and if he had any siblings.

It is possible that his father's last name was Reeser, or RIEser, or REIser or even RISser.
