YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Private funeral services were held for Lorraine Vaughn, 51, who passed away at home on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.

Lorraine was born in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) Aug. 3, 1961, the daughter of Jerry and Betty Lou Fabek Rehak.
She resided in Florida for 25 years and moved back to Youngstown six years ago.

She was preceded in death by her mother, who passed away March 6, 1983.

She is survived by her father, Jerry and stepmother Judy Rehak of Youngstown.
She leaves two brothers, Bradley of North Lima, Ohio and Daniel of Thailand; three nieces, Ritu and Lisa Rehak, of Poland, Ohio and Jennifer Rehak of Thailand.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home.

I'm looking into the Breuer/Rehak family and am trying to get more information the Rehak side. This is what I have so far, and I'm hoping to connect with someone that might have more information on this specific line.

Robert Breuer married Maria Rehak (b. 29 Feb 1852) in Friedland. Maria was the daughter of Johann Rehak and Barbara Rudolf. Johann Rehak was the son of Joseph Rehak and Josepha Mueller.

I don't know who his children were but my father had an Uncle Frank, whose father was Stephen Emmett Rehak and mother Elizabeth Theresa Vonyeck. The children in that family were Stephen, Lou, Frank, Matt, Grace, John, and Louise.

with the Rehaks in my family, all the Rehaks from my side of the family came from McDonald, PA and formerly from Pittsburgh,PA. I do not recognize any of your names, sorry that I can't help you, but thanks for the message.

I am the daughter of Edward Lepacek, Sr. and Helen Lepacek.
I can give you a little info, on them, but no so much on Rehak's. I have an uncle that might be able to help you further.

CORRECTION: Anna Lepacek is my grandmother........... (for Lepacek, not sure about Rehak side) her son, is Edward Lepacek, (you show her brother as Edward).........

There is a small community of Czech people in Banat region, Romania. My mother Cristina Rehak was born there in 1939. She died in Canada in 2006.
I'm trying to find my family origins from my mother's side.I'm interested also to find out how the Czechs living now in Romania got there in the first place and what made them immigrate in that part of Europe, the aproximate period when that happened and which Czech regions they came from.

immagrated from Czechoslovakia. There names are Mike Rehak,
Mary (Pivak) Rehak, they had children named Grace,Mike Jr.,

funny you mention that, my grandfather was a john anthony rehak, my dad is a john lester rehak, and i am brett austin rehak, all of us out of pennsburg, my dad is the only one who lives there now though, my wife and i are military and live in louisiana, my great uncle was tony rehak, not sure on a middle name though

Looking for the history of the Rehaks'

I come from Washington state and am part of the Rehak clan. I don't know to much about the family tree and would like to know more.
My father is Anthony Franklin Rehak, brother Lewis Rehak and sister Lana Rehak, he grew up in the Kent-Seattle area of Washington. I can't remember their father's name, but he married a lady, my Grandmother, Deloris.
I do know that their Great-Grandfather was the Sheirff in the Cowlitz County area.
I am told that they are a portion: French, Bohemian, Indian and possible Scandinavian.
Please let me know if there is anyone out there with a connection to the Washington Rehaks.
I am also looking for my half sister Toni-jo; we share the same father Anthony (Tony).

My relatives live in a town in Hungary, named Kistelek. They probably immigrated from Czechoslovakia or from the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy before 1920. Does anyone has something about this in his/her family tree?

Does anyone have a Anna Rehak in their family tree that married Michael Andrake? She born in Austria abt. 1866-1869. Not sure when she arrived in America. She lived with Michael in and around Blair Co., Pennsylvania. Had children: Mary Catherine, Lizzie, Annie and possibly more that I am unaware of.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply and also the
information shared. Am afraid I have very little on this family.
The children that I show for John and Teresa Petras Rehak
were: John - b. 1896, Jacob - b. 1901, Paul - b. 1904
and Rosa - b. ca. 1908. I have made several attempts when
in that area of PA to locate any descendants of this family,
and all have been unsuccessful.
Will keep in touch and maybe together we can be of help
to each other. Good luck with your Koelsch research.

Fern - Marriage records at catholic church in Braddock, PA show Joannem Rehak of Ford City son of Joannes Rehak and Therese Petro married Maria Koelsch, daughter of Joannes Koelsch and Maria Walter on 2/16/1917. I have a John Rehak of Ford City, son of Joannes Rehak and Therese Petro who married Maria Koelsch 2/16/1917 daughter of Joannes (John) Koelsch and Maria Walter (Mary E. Walter(s). The Koelsch family was mostly outside Pittsburgh during this time period. My family resides in Texas. I live in Austin.
Most of the family live in the Beaumont and
Houston areas. I was raised in a small town 65 miles
from Houston,Newgulf. Dad, deceased, John Kenneth
was a welder at Texas Gulf Sulfur Company. His
3 other brothers also worked there and retired.
My grandfather Fred John Rehak and 3 brothers
and parents came to America from Moravia, and
received their travel papers from Berlin. They
went to New York, on to Galveston,Texas and settled
on farm land near Yoakum,Texas. My grandfather
worked on a ranch near Refugio,Texas, where
hall of famer Nolan Ryan was born.
He met my grandmother and moved to Bay City,Texas
where they lived and raised 4 boys.

The Rehak-Lepacek connection

Janet: There needs to be a little modification to your family tree... Edward and Helen Lepacek were my uncle and aunt; they both died in 1998. Edward's mother (my grandmother)was Anna (nee Kastak) Lepacek who was married to Steven Lepacek. I believe one of the connections for the Rehak/Lepacek comes from the fact that my grandfather's (Steven) sister married a Rehak male, but I'm not sure of how the connection goes beyond that. There is a contingent of Rehaks in the area around Joliet, IL and Whiting/Hammond, IN. Write back to me personally for more info.
