Hello, I discovered that my family roots came from the Reichert surname. Here is my family story from my fathers side. John Frederick Reichert born in 1679 in Ausbury Germany came over to the United States in 1700 or 1703 with Captain Daniel Falkner. John Frederick became naturalized on Sept 25, 1740. He had a son named John Jacob Reichert (born 1725) who changed the name of Reichert to Richards in 1750. John Jacob Richards had a son named George Washington Richards (born 1759, Rockingham Co., VA which is now Pendleton Co., WV). George married Catherine Bush on July 28, 1788 in Harrison Co., They had a son named Elias Coleman Richards (born Oct 11, 1810, WV) who married Sarah Ellen Jones on May 7, 1835. They had a son named Jessie Jason Richards (born April 20, 1840 Wood Co., WV) who married Sarah Ellen Stewart (1st marriage) and then he married Margaret Jane Elder. They had a son named Thomas R. Richards (born April 6, 1873, WV) who married Berthena Vercina Dotson on August 10, 1893 in Ritchie Co., WV. They had a son named Edward G Richards (born August 27, 1896 Ritchie Co., WV who is my grandfather. He had 6 children, Evelyn (born March 31, 1921), Dorothy (born feb 2, 1923), Edward G. Richards Jr (born april 3, 1924, my father), Robert (born sept 7, 1925), Francis (born Aug 16, 1929) and Howard (born Sept 24, 1930. My fathers name was Edward Gilbert Richards (born April 3, 1924 in Phildelphia and died June 27, 1978 in Gainsville Florida). I am his daughter Penny Elizabeth Richards
