Looking for Descendants of James Reid Sr. (c. 1784, SC-by Jan 1838, TX) and Rhoda Hutchison (1789, SC -1860/70, TX). Born and married, 1800-1804, in York Co., SC. Moved circa 1828-1830 to Tipton Co., TN. Moved after 1835 to DeSoto Co., TN while James and two old sons looked for land. Moved late 1837-early 1838 to Bastrop Co., TX. They had 11 known children born from 1804-1835.

Some children and grandchildren settled in Bastrop, Caldwell, Lee, Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Hill Cos., TX. Many female lines have been difficult to trace after they married and appeared to have left Bastrop Co., TX.
