Surnames: Reid, Roe, Taylor,
Looking for a Reid family that lived in Staffordshire, England.
1851 and 1861 census shows a Robert Reid living at Oldcott, in the village of "Golden Hill". His age was 46/56, born1804..
Wifes name is Mary, aged 50/60. Roberts profession was a "Ground Baillif". (can anyone tell me what a ground baillif did???)
Any information would be MOST helpful.
Needing to confirm whether this Robert was the father of "James Reid" who was born in Perthshire Scotland 1835.
James Reid married Elizabeth taylor, he had lived in Derbyshire,Staffordshire and Cheshire between 1861-1897.
