HOPE — Mary V. Donnelly, 94, of Hope, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Alterra Sterling House in Salina.
She was born April 12, 1914, in Waverly, the daughter of Charles and Flora (Lorson) Reidy. She grew up in the Hope community, attended local schools and graduated from Hope High School.
She married Earl Donnelly on Nov. 4, 1950, in Hope. They farmed in the Elmo area their entire lives. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2007.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church, Elmo.
Survivors include one son, Kevin, of Manhattan; one daughter, Susan Wilson of Gypsum; and six grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin, Charles and Raymond Reidy, all of Hope.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Lawrence Riedy; an infant son, Dennis; and one great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at St. Columba Catholic Church, Elmo, with Fr. Mark Wesely officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Elmo
