Deceased Name: Leona 'Aunt Leona' Reinders

Leona Reinders, 92, Oshkosh, formerly of Neenah, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Bethel Home, Oshkosh. She was born March 16, 1915, in the Town of Weston, Wisconsin, daughter of Henry and Mathilda (Kluender) Zinser. Leona married Harold Reinders September 6, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oshkosh and he preceded her in death September 15, 1981. Mrs. Reinders was employed at Theda Clark Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Oshkosh and a former member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and their Christian Women's Society. Leona was also a former member of the Neenah Kiwanis Club, Greenville Grange, and a past member of the Rainbow Club, Parkview Health Center and the Mixerittes Homemakers Club, Neenah.

Leona is survived by a very special cousin, Lavora Marquardt, Wausau; niece and caregivers, Debbi (Barry) Wegner, Pickett; nieces and nephew: Linda (Gary) Monday, Sharon (Rex) Bloechel, both of Oshkosh; Lisa Gibson, Kenosha; Sue (Bob) Harmon, David (Anne) Reinders; special friends: Pat Seggelink, Neenah; Mary (Robert) Gogolewski, Stoughton; Amelda Druke and family, Oshkosh; Rose Irvine; sister-in-law, Marge Reinders, Larsen; she was also special "aunt" to her great nieces and nephews and every child she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Henry and Leo Zinser, Louis Wimmer; 2 sister-in-laws: Rose and Laverne Keays-Sporri; a niece, Judy Pahlow and special friends, Chuck and Anne Mc Donell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at Bethel Home Chapel, 225 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, with Fr. Tom Reynebeau officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the Kessler Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday and at the Bethel Home Chapel from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established for the Aurora VNA Hospice.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staffs at the Bethel Home and the Aurora VNA Hospice for their care and compassion for Leona.
