Hi. As promised, I got as much info from my grandmother as I possibly could about the Reinelt side of her family. I can't even remember what I've told you, but here are the names of the Reinelt clan (not including the 2 that died in infancy) and who they married, and who their offspring were. My grandmother couldn't remember anything more recent. At least her long-term memory is intact!!!

My grandmother has some vivid memories of William Reinelt. She was born in 1907 and he died in 1929, so he was around for some time. She said he was mean and everyone was afraid of him... I never had a chance to get to City Hall to get his death certificate (which will possibly give the names of his parents), but I did visit his and Sophia's graves. They are very worn and you can barely make out the inscriptions. Apparently, Anton's family has the family bible, but all the people listed above in his family are deceased, so I've got to do some more digging. I have photos of almost all the children: Sophie, Josef, John, Fritz, Albert, Emma, and Anton (and my g. grandmother). When Mina died in 1972, her obit stated that her only living sibling was Albert, who was living in Paramount, CA, at the time. He lived until 1987! His social security death index puts him in Los Angeles at the time of his death. My grandmother couldn't be specific about when everyone else passed away, though she did say that most of them died of some sort of cancer (quite an unsettling thought!) When I eventually get William's death certificate, I will let you know if I learn his parents names. I hope that somewhere in this muddle is someone who is related to you! If not, good luck, and let me know anything you find out! - Paget
